What is proofreading?

A: Proofreading copy means checking it for such things as errors in spelling and punctuation; misplaced and missing apostrophes; inconsistencies in typographical style, and for clarity and correct use of English.

What is editing?

A: Editing overlaps to some extent with proofreading, but often requires the rewriting of sentences in the interest of clarity. Text is scrutinised for mistakes in grammar and syntax, and for injudicious word selection. The general tone of the author's writing and the effect he or she desires are borne in mind, as is the flow of the writing. Not infrequently, errors of fact are detected and corrected.

What is an Approved Client?

A: One whose previously submitted copy we have observed to be of a reasonable standard for editing. An Approved Client may choose to bypass the quote stage when submitting a job.

Can I tell what your service will cost?

A: You can work out the probable cost by doing a word count and referring to Our Charges, but some jobs require a lot of work and we have to charge an appropriate fee.

Can I get a quote?

A: Yes. Submit your job and we will give you a quote within 48 hours. A figure for small jobs can usually be given within 24 hours.

How do I pay?

A: Payment is made in advance by way of credit card through a secure server. We do not store credit card details. Other arrangement can be considered for approved clients. We accept Online Secure Payment processed by PayPal.
